Why We Exist

Our mom/grandmother was a very special woman. She lived a life rooted in generosity and kindness. She was a nurse for over 40 years. Education was of the utmost importance to her and she never wavered on her commitment to support others through their educational pursuits and praising our educational accomplishments.  She delighted in learning new things, in caring for others both their physical and emotional well being and thrived on elevating those coming up under her. After she passed away, the family wanted to create something in her honor that spread her love for nursing & education. From there, the MLP Scholarship Fund was born.
